My top 5 Fave Hair products and tools

Growing up I hated my hair. I struggled with the frizziness and thickness of it. I wasn't sure how to style it. It felt like my hair was my worst enemy ...
that is, until I learned how to manage it and eventually invested in several products that have changed my life! Now i've grown to love my hair. Here are my top FIVE fave hair products and tools that have helped me tremendously!

Okay, if your family has -- lots of girls/lots of hair this is the right product for you! I love it because at such an affordable price it's awesome to use on kids as well! Especially during the Summer months when hair is getting constantly dried out from swimming all the time!

4. It's a 10 Miracle Dry Oil Spray, plus Keratin: If you are anything like me, you hate getting your fingers all greasy from oily serums -- Plus it never distributes evenly! Well, when I found this product I almost jumped for joy ... it doesn't weigh down my hair PLUS no greasy fingers! Great for styling your hair straight as well! It will leave your hair so shiny and smooth!

3. My wet brush, classic: With three girls in our house we would basically die without this brush! We have three on hand and if we misplace one, we all stress out because they are THAT important to us! lol So if you don't already have one -- buy one or three!!! Best brush ever!

2. Batiste, Dry shampoo for dark hair :  I'm the girl that dreads washing her hair. My hair is super thick, long and takes forever to dry and style! Plus, as a Mom my time is very limited when it comes to getting ready. When I found this amazing dry shampoo that catered to my Dark Hair and didn't leave white flakes, my dreams came true! But don't worry, even if you aren't brunette there are many shades -- you too can "banish oil and boost body"

Drumroll please:

My number one favorite beauty tool and my best friend --

1. Nume Curling Wand - 32 mm : This wand is by far the best out there. It will curl your hair faster and keep the curl for days on end! Plus give you the perfect loose wave! Be sure to follow them on Facbebook or Instagram because they always have promotions and discounts!

P.S. As a mom on the go ... these pics were the best I could get. I'm just not a huge selfie taker. I will work on getting better "hair pics" but for now this will have to do.

Thanks for reading!

Summer Skirt

I fell in love with this Free People skirt when I saw it online - and was thrilled that it was even prettier in person! I decided to go with a more casual look by pairing my skirt with a loose and flowy Free People crop top and gladiator sandals.

I love the fact that when you find a great skirt you can always dress it up or down.

I also visited the MAC counter and updated my make up with a few bright summery colors! That's always the best way to help if your make up is feeling a little boring!

Lip Color by MAC: LIPSTICK | LIPLINER

Blush color by MAC:  BLUSH |  (sold out online at MAC) but available at Nordstrom where I originally purchased it.

Ava's Invitation

I had such a fun time designing and working with BohemianPretty for my daughters baptism invitation //

I came across this shop on Etsy and couldn't be happier I did! Her style was exactly what I was looking for and envisioning. Once she helped me design & perfect the final proof, I couldn't stop smiling. But receiving it in the mail was even better, it honestly brought tears to my eyes. It's such a beautiful, customized-just-for-us, special piece of artwork that we will always treasure!

I will for sure be using BohemianPretty again in the future -- because I'm THAT in love with everything about her shop! She was so knowledgeable, helpful, kind and obviously insanely talented. Now to figure out what I can use her for next!

Hair Repair for Spring!

Spring is finally here and that means we want our hair to be healthy and beautiful. Try this super easy and natural hair mask (with items that are already in your kitchen!)

What you will need:

-2 tbsp. honey
-2 tbsp. coconut oil
-1 egg

Start by melting down the coconut oil until it is in liquid form. When the coconut oil is warmed and ready, mix it in with the honey (use a small dish) While whisking slowly, add in the egg. When your mixture is ready and smooth, apply to dry hair. This will probably get a little messy, apply carefully and cover coated hair with a shower cap. Leave it on for 1 hour and then rinse out with warm water.

Rainbow Birthday Treat

My daughters birthday is coming up and she wanted to make these adorable rainbow treats to pass out to her friends at dance. (we are required to take store bought treats to school) but luckily her birthday falls on a dance day, so we were excited to bring something fun for her best friends!

I found out online that these rainbow Twizzlers were sold at my local Target. If you decide to get them at Target check and see if they are in stock because they have limited quantities. Luckily, I snagged the last three bags! Although, don't stress over the Rolos, they have a million bags.

I purchased small cellophane bags at our local party store. Then added ribbon to each bag that I already had at home.

Once you purchase all of the items it's very simple! Just assemble each rainbow, throw in some Rolo's and tie ribbon around the top. Sweet and simple, that's what I loved most about this birthday treat!

Also, I was excited to share this diy treat bag because it's perfect for St. Patrick's day coming up!

Hope you enjoy!
