Every Day Makeup

I may not have the best collection of beauty products or be your most experienced makeup artist -- But through much trial and error I have found some pretty great products I'd like to share. Some can be purchased at places like MAC and some purchased at places like Target or Sally's. I'm not picky, I only care if it does the job well!

I am going to keep this post short and sweet, starting with the very first makeup product I apply --

I use this stuff everyday, without fail. I love how it makes my skin silky smooth, seals my pores, helps my make up stay on longer and best of all ... gives me added sun protection! If you aren't using primer buy it this second, you won't regret it!

My skin is oily and so unfortunately I have always been terrified of foundation. (due to a few bad experiences) I finally decided to give this product a try after I read the description and I am so glad I did! This foundation has been a life saver! The first thing I love about it is obvious in it's name ... MATTE! It truly makes the biggest difference and helps control my oil as well as making my skin look even and smooth. Another amazing benefit is that it's buildable coverage, you can customize it day to day. For example, in the Summer I just do a light layer. It's also oil free and Noncomedogenic.

Bronzer/Highlighter: Shimmer Brick Compact
This is my favorite for a quick everyday look! It's an all in one! Higlighter, bronzer and blush. Overall it gives your face the perfect glow with a bit of contour and definition without making you do all the work! It's amazing and I've used it for years! It's especially my favorite in the spring and summer when I want to give my face the perfect amount of color and shimmer. Your cheekbones need this. I promise.

This is my go to eyeliner. Why? For a few reasons: It's fast and easy, I have used this eyeliner for so many years that I have it down to a couple swipes per eye and I'm done. You can easily do a thin line or a bold thick line. This is my favorite eyeliner to do a cat eye with.

Bottom lid eyeliner: Mary Kay black eyeliner
I use a pencil for my lower lid. I have tried a few pencil eyeliners and this is my favorite because of one main reason. It doesn't end up smearing or smuding all over my eye, it stays put throughout the day. Also glides on smooth!

I've purchased a couple of other brow gels and have found that I don't like the brown pigmented ones and prefer clear gel. Maybe you have found an awesome one (please share in the comments) but when I have used any type of colored gel it makes my brows look cakey and makes them look weird or an off color.

I have used MAC eyeshadow for my brows for over 10 years. I know, I know, there are so many other amazing brow products are out there, I just figure if it ain't broke don't fix it. lol But one day I would love to venture out and explore the wonderful world of brow products!

There you have it -- My favorite go to/everyday makeup products. I will for sure do another detailed post including a video tutorial. I know a lot of people have questions about application but this is a great start. I wanted my first post to be simple and explain my view -- It doesn't need to be complicated, expensive or take forever. All of these products save me money and time!

Please share tips or products you love!
